Founded in 1947 to address the housing need of many war widows in the local San Diego area, today Social Service League of La Jolla continues to provide housing to seniors who have lived and worked in the San Diego area and cannot otherwise afford decent housing after retirement.
Social Service League of La Jolla provides subsidized rent, utilities, services and meals to all residents who meet income qualifications. The organization focuses on supporting seniors physical and social needs through an emphasis on community and shared evening meals.
